Drugs of Abuse can lead to addiction and have a negative impact on the family and  addicted individuals’ life. Mona Ellis, Addiction Intervention Professional, provides addiction intervention services, family counseling and motivational interviewing techniques to provide intervention, feedback, advice, referrals and assist individuals with planning and goal setting related to cutting back or abstinence.Families often feel angry, and unable to trust a love one addicted to drugs and alcohol. Family Addiction Intervention Professional Services can help the addicted person and the entire family get into treatment and assist each family member's fear and anxiety related to losing a family member to addiction. Remember, the chemical substance is the primary relationship with the addicted individuals. What happens during family education and addiction intervention session?

• Interventions will take place in the office, a community-based location, mental health clinic or medical office.

• Mrs. Mona Ellis will provide brief therapy, intervention, and educate the family about the disease of addiction prior to the intervention.
• Mrs. Ellis will allow each family member to write a letter to the addicted person.
• The intervention session will include family members, close friends, clinicians and or addiction medical professions.
• The intervention will be limited (60 to 90 minutes). Mrs. Ellis will set up an addiction evaluation appointment and follow up session.

• Mona Ellis utilized evidence-based research to assess clients and conduct clinical interview using questions from the CRAFFT as a guide and diagnosis using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM)-5 SUD criteria
• Mrs. Ellis also conducts a brief intervention and motivational interviewing techniques, provide feedback, advice, referrals and assist the client planning and goal setting related to cutting back or abstinence
• Mrs. Ellis utilizes SAMHSA Matrix Model Videos, Publications Curriculum to provide Addiction Intervention Services.
• Utilization of an evidence-based Brief Screening self-help tool can help you make the first step that identifies a need for intervention and abstinence.

• Mrs. Ellis provides alcohol and drug education to help the addicted individual and family member learn about the chemical dependency brain disease. 

• Mrs. Ellis provides screening, assessment, evaluation, intervention referral and resources to help get individuals into a treatment program designed to meet the individual needs of the family.
